Searching for Form: A Non-objective Workshop by Carol Odell, March 28 – 30, 10:00 – 1:00 PM

“Where do you get your ideas?” is an all too common question asked of abstract and non-objective artists. Carol Odell has been a non-objective painter for many years. Relying on the classical training of the Boston Museum School in the late ’60's has allowed her to search for her own imaging.

About

The Museum School at the Cape Cod Museum of Art presents:

Searching for Form: A Non-objective Workshop by Carol Odell

March 28 – March 30, 2022.

10:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Non-Members $190 / Members $170

“Where do you get your ideas?” is an all too common question asked of abstract and non-objective artists. In this workshop, we will generate, stimulate and discover new directions for your painting. We will search for inspiration, build interest, unify and strengthen compositions, understand design elements, and find and celebrate your “hand”. The power of the work is in the process.

Limited to three mornings, participants will be asked to work quickly on a variety of ideas using appropriate media such as: pencil, conte, pastels, inks, watercolor. Bring plenty of paper and a variety of brushes. Working from observation or your imagination, painting is an adventure: who knows where it will lead?
