Marketing & Design Manager

The Marketing & Design Manager is responsible for advancing the museum's mission by developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies that increase public awareness, drive attendance, and support membership and development goals. This position requires a creative self-starter with the ability to manage all aspects of external communications, from crafting compelling narratives to designing all promotional materials and exhibit signage.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Marketing Strategy & Management: Develop, implement, and manage an annual marketing and communications plan to build visibility and engagement across diverse audiences.

  • Budget Management: Monitor and manage the marketing department's budget to ensure efficient use of resources

  • Graphic Design & Collateral Production: Produce all in-house graphic design projects, including flyers, brochures, newsletters, advertisements, event invitations, and on-site signage, ensuring brand consistency.

  • Digital Marketing & Content Creation: Oversee the museum's website (e.g., WIX) and social media channels (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn), including creating engaging visual and written content and analyzing performance metrics.

  • Media & Public Relations: Cultivate relationships with local media, draft and distribute press releases, and coordinate media coverage for exhibitions and events.

  • Advertising & Promotions: Manage online advertising campaigns (e.g., Google Ads, PPC) and coordinate the placement of print, radio, or local TV spots as needed.

  • Data & Reporting: Collect and analyze visitor data, market research, and campaign results to measure effectiveness and inform future strategies.

  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with curatorial, education, events and development teams to support programmatic goals and create cohesive messaging.

  • Manage and Coordinate Part-Time Marketing Associates workload

  • Photography/Videography: Occasionally capture and edit photos and short videos of events, exhibits, and programs for promotional use.

 

Qualifications

  • Education: A bachelor’s degree in marketing, Graphic Design, Communications, or a related field.

  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in a marketing or communications role, preferably within a non-profit, cultural, or museum environment.

  • Design Proficiency: Demonstrated proficiency with graphic design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and/or Canva. A strong portfolio of design work may be requested.

 

Skills

· Strong digital marketing skills (SEO, social, email, web analytics).

Building Services Coordinator

Founded by artists in 1981, CCMoA is the home of Cape Cod Art.
The Museum preserves the work of the Cape’s finest artists and celebrates the distinctive artistic identity of the Cape, the Islands and the region. It is a major hub of the cultural life of the region. The Museum is situated in a beautiful setting surrounded by a Sculpture Garden in Dennis, Massachusetts. CCMoA has an extensive permanent art collection, seven galleries, an education center, pottery studio, museum shop, and film screening room.

 

Position: Building Services Coordinator

CAPE COD MUSEUM OF ART is seeking a qualified Building Services Coordinator for the general maintenance and upkeep of the Museum. Qualified Individuals will have foundational experience in property management and possess a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn. The successful candidate will contribute to the guest experience and overall functionality of exhibitions and programing by assisting with a variety of tasks related to repairs, upkeep and facility operations.

Job Description/Responsibilities

  • Provides general building maintenance and performs "handyman" tasks

  • Conduct daily inspections to identify maintenance needs

  • Oversees the weekly maintenance and cleaning, and provides supplemental cleaning as need

  • Event set-up and breakdown as needed

  • Ensures the museum is always accessible and well lighted, inside, and out. This includes, but is not limited to clearing snow and ice, drifting sand, branches or any other debris off the public walkways and parking lot.

  • Prepare exhibition space with patching, painting and lighting

  • Ensures the building is compliant to government regulations and building codes

  • Works with Operations Director to continually update, test and monitor emergency management procedures

  • Ensures maintenance of the security and fire systems

  • Coordinates and supervises outside contractors (plumbing, HVAC, electrical etc.) as directed​

 

Skills & Experience Required

  • 3 – 5 years work experience in related field

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions and complete tasks efficiently

  • Building safety, codes and regulation Knowledge helpful

  • Ability to handle jobs that require light lifting (50# lbs) ability to climb ladder as needed

  • Excellent mechanical Skills

  • Excellent time management Skills
