2-Hour Workshop: Sgraffito Wall Hanger with Coco Raymond

Monday, July 11, 2022, from 2:00 – 4:00 pm.

Members $60/ Members $65 materials included.

Beginner/Intermediate

The ancient technique of sgraffito carving is still used to this day to create beautiful textured finishes on ceramic art. In this 2-hour workshop, students will have the opportunity to learn about the process of carving through underglaze on clay and create their own designs. Recommended for beginner students and intermediate students ready to explore new surface decoration techniques. Classwork will need to be fired, students will be contacted for pickup.

Coco Raymond is a local Cape Codder and lifelong ceramicist who combines traditional iconography and folk art with modern techniques. When not teaching, Coco enjoys creating functional hand-painted pottery and delving into art history.

Please park in the back of the museum - take the 2nd driveway off of Hope Street. You will enter the building through the pottery studio in the back.
