The CCMoA Permanent Collection Fund

Please Support our Permanent Collection
TreeofLife.jpg

CCMoA’s founders were concerned that the best art produced in the region would leave Cape Cod and end up being owned by collectors and museums all over the country so that future generations of Cape and Islands children would have no concrete examples of their artistic heritage.  With that in mind, the museum has chosen to focus its collections on work inspired by our region as well as art that has inspired the artists of our region.

All donations to this fund will go directly to supporting the CCMoA collection: acquisition, maintenance, restoration, displaying and interpreting the permanent collection so we may celebrate our rich cultural heritage today and for generations to come.

"Seagulls No. 3", circa 1925, Gifford Beal, Oil on Canvas

In 2015, The Estate of Gifford Beal presented the museum with two paintings for the museum's permanent collection.  They were given to the museum unframed.  Working with Cape Cod Picture Framing in Dennis we were able to find a frame representative to the time period of the work.  The donations make it possible for the Cape Cod Museum of Art to continue to frame and restore works such as this painting.  Your contributions allow the CCMoA an opportunity to share hidden gems like this.  Come and see it for yourself and thank you for your contributions!!!
