POTTERY with Jeanmarie O'Clair - MONDAYS

January 3 - February 7

6pm - 8pm

6 week session

Members: $225 / Non-Members $250

Fee includes (1) 25 lb bag of clay, glazing, and glaze firing.

New students can purchase a tool kit for $15, available at class.

Learn the fundamentals of throwing on the potter’s wheel. We will focus on technique, form, and function. All levels are welcome, from beginner to advanced.

All students must be vaccinated for COVID and wear masks. Please bring your vaccination card to the first class.

Please park in the back of the museum - take the 2nd driveway off of Hope Street. You will enter the building through the pottery studio in the back.

About the Instructor 

Jeanmarie O’Clair is the owner of Bass River Pottery and has been creating pottery for over 30 years. Her work can be seen publicly in locations such as Falmouth Hospital, Cape Cod Hospital, Flax Pond, and the Cultural Center of Cape Cod. Jeanmarie's pottery can be found in art museums and local art centers Jeanmarie is an experienced art teacher who has taught at schools on Cape Cod and in New York, as well as at many other studios. Besides giant ceramic mosaics her signature style, sgraffito pottery, is included in The Encyclopedia of Pottery Techniques, for ceramic artists.
