September 16, 6-8PM. Join our fun and informative PAINT NIGHT session with Instructor Michael Giaquinto. Each person will take away a painting along with new ideas about the creative process and visual expression. This month, Michael will instruct the group in a Tod Lindenmuth landscape composition.

The Museum School at the Cape Cod Museum of Art presents:

Paint the Collection: Tod Lindenmuth, Provincetown Coastal Scene with Michael Giaquinto

Friday, September 16, 6:00pm - 8:00pm

$35 Members / $40 Non-Members 

Instructor Michael Giaquinto will instruct the group in a Cape Cod landscape inspired by American painter Tod Lindenmuth, part of our "Paint the Collection" series of Paint Nights with collection pieces on display for each class.

The class is open equally to experienced painters and to those who have never held a brush before. Middle School and High School students are welcome to register for this class with a participating parent. Acrylic paint, canvases, brushes, palette knives, and easels will be provided to those attending Paint Night. Please bring your own smock. You are welcome to bring beverages and individually wrapped snacks.

Michael A. Giaquinto, the former Exhibitions Curator at the Cape Cod Museum of Art, studied art at Montserrat College of Art, Beverly, MA; North Carolina State University, where he studied Art History. He also taught art at St. John Paul II High School in Hyannis, MA, and teaches painting for adults at the Weny Education Center at CCMoA, and the Creative Arts Center, Chatham, MA.

He has held workshops at the DeCordova Museum and Sculpture Park, Lincoln, MA & The Truro Center for the Arts, & Falmouth Art Center.

Giaquinto was awarded "Craftsman of the Year" by the Early American Life Magazine in 2001 and 2005. He is represented in Deborah Forman's book, Contemporary Cape Cod Artists on Abstraction, 2015.
