Drawing From Within - In-Person at the Cape Cod Art Center, 6 Wednesdays / April 7 – May 12

Reach deep into your art supply box and pull out your collection of drawing materials. As the season works from muted shades to more vibrant colors, work through drawing with muted shades and more vibrant colors. Review basic drawing skills and improve drawing techniques. Apply what you know while discovering new art materials and ways to use and combine them. Graphite, colored pencil, graphitint pencils, ink, and yes, watercolor, will be explored.

Artist Bio:

Ellen Duarte has been creating a Christmas card almost every year since taking up botanical illustration more than a decade ago, when she began her studies at Wellesley College Botanic Garden. She earned her Certificate of Botanical Illustration in 2015. Ellen grew up in Maine and raised her family on Cape Cod. She currently resides in Centerville and is still frequently visiting Maine. She and her husband enjoy three grown children and many grandchildren.
