The Museum School at the Cape Cod Museum of Art presents:

Art By The Sea: 2D and 3D Collage with Michael Giaquinto

July 25 – 29, 2022, from 9:30 – 12:00.

Members $175 / Non-Members $190

Ages 6-11. Register early, class size is limited to 12 students!

Back by popular demand! Young artists ages 6 -11 will create objects that reflect their time by the sea. Each day will be we will create new elements – such as mermaids, fish, and sharks… using materials such as crepe paper, tissue paper, glitter, markers, glue, and colored paper - - we will fill the wall with our fanta –“sea” creatures!

  • Students must be 6 years of age or older
  • Students must be checked in and out by an accompanying adult
  • Students should bring a drink and snack each day
  • An emergency contact form is required – send to education@ccmoa.org prior to class or bring with you the first day

Michael A. Giaquinto, former Exhibitions Curator at the Cape Cod Museum of Art. He studied art at Montserrat College of Art, Beverly, MA; North Carolina State University, where he studied Art History. He also taught art at St. John Paul II High School in Hyannis, MA, and teaches painting for adults at the Weny Education Center at CCMoA, and the Creative Arts Center, Chatham, MA.

He has held workshops at the DeCordova Museum and Sculpture Park, Lincoln, MA & The Truro Center for the Arts, & Falmouth Art Center.

Giaquinto was awarded "Craftsman of the Year" by the Early American Life Magazine in 2001 and 2005. He is represented in Deborah Forman's book, Contemporary Cape Cod Artists on Abstraction, 2015.
