YOUTH ART PROGRAM
Fall Classes for Children Ages 6 to 10
A limited number of scholarships are available. Interested? Complete form HERE.
Our Wednesday after school art class has a new name and a new format! Afternoon at the Museum is ideal for children aged 6 to 10, including those in kindergarten through third grade. The four-week program is crafted to be educational—aligning with Massachusetts Learning Standards for the Arts—and enjoyable, allowing students to express their individuality while fostering a lifelong appreciation for the arts. Led by art instructor Jennifer Stratton, students explore the five exhibition galleries at the Cape Cod Museum of Art, introducing young learners to a diverse array of artistic styles and techniques, inspiring their art projects.
Weekly activities are varied and dynamic! A guest speaker will share their knowledge with the class on the current exhibition. On the last class of the session, families are invited to a mini student exhibition to learn about the students’ artwork.
