CCMoA Tote Bag Competition 2025

Competition Theme

• Participants are invited to paint/draw/create original artwork that depicts the exterior of the Cape Cod Museum of Art. Artists may choose any part of the building or its grounds, as long as the subject is clearly recognizable as museum property.

Prizes

• The winning artwork will be:

• Printed on tote bags sold in the Cape Cod Museum of Art Gift Shop

• Displayed in the museum lobby 

• Featured in museum marketing and promotional materials

• The winner will receive $100 cash prize and 5 tote bags of your winning design

Eligibility and Medium

• Open to all artists

• Only 2-dimensional mediums permitted

Submission Deadline & Jurying

• The competition is open from June through August 2025

• All entries must be submitted by August 31, 2025

• The winner will be chosen through a blind jury comprised of Cape Cod Museum of Art staff

  • Artists’ names will not be revealed during judging to ensure fairness

Submission Fee

• $15 for non-members

• $10 for Cape Cod Museum of Art members

Use of Museum Grounds

• Artists are welcome to paint or draw en plein air on the museum grounds at any time

• Please be respectful of the space

• Do not litter or disturb plants and flowers

Rights

• By entering and winning the competition, the artist agrees to grant the Cape Cod Museum of Art the copyright and full, unlimited reproduction rights to the winning artwork.

• The museum may use the artwork for promotional and marketing purposes, such as on merchandise, in print, and online.
