The Cape Cod Museum of Art will host an entertaining new film fest, “Two Cape Cod Women and Two Words … Action … Cut!” featuring short films written, directed and produced by two Cape Cod women, on Thursday, June 27 from 6-8 p.m.
Screenwriter, author and producer Sandra Lee Bolton will present her original short film, “Now Hiring.” Filmed on Cape Cod, it features local actors and crew members and offers a different point of view of the Cape. Next up is Jacqueline Murray Loring, a screenwriter, author, producer and poet, who will present her four short films: “A Quiet Mind,” “Trains, Tracks and Aliens,” “The Importance of Being” and “The House on Normal Street.”
Sandra Lee Bolton is a screenwriter and published author who resides in Marstons Mills. She has written five short screenplays and three full-length screenplays, which have received attention as quarter finalists and semi-finalists in nationwide screenplay competitions. She is a member of Cape Cod Writers Center and author of “Explore Contemporary Marstons Mills, Cape Cod,” a contemporary photo-essay coffee table book that brings to life the village of Marstons Mills.
Jacqueline Murray Loring writes stage plays, screen plays and poetry. She received professional development grants from the Massachusetts Cultural Council and the Arts Foundation of Cape Cod. Her plays have been stage-read and produced at the Provincetown Theater Company in Provincetown. Loring is also the past executive director of the Cape Cod Writers Center and past president of the Cape Cod Chapter of the National League of American Pen Women.
