All concerts are held outside, under the tent in our sculpture garden. In the case of rain, the concert will be held inside the museum in our spacious gallery. No need to bring chairs, we have plenty for everyone! Feel free to pack a picnic lunch to enjoy on our lawn before the concert!

The Vibe is John Shaw, saxes and flute; Martin Vazquez, percussionist (drums); and Paul McWilliams, keyboards.   A talented trio performing their own versions of American Songbook Jazz standards and more. The songs range from beautiful classics like “Over the Rainbow,” “Georgia,” and “Take the ‘A’ Train” to upbeat songs like “Caravan,” “Song for My Father,” “Blackbird,” “Fly Me To The Moon,” and “Tequila.”   This trio also performs currently for the Cape Cod Sunday Jazz Brunch Train that departs from the Hyannis Train Depot. The Vibe is scheduled for nine Sunday dates beginning July 3rd, 2022. They also play private parties and company functions.

Saxophonist John Shaw - A Graduate of UMass Dartmouth who had the privilege of being one of Lou Colombo’s last Jazz Students. John got his start back on the road to performing when Lou C. asked him to sit in for a “few tunes” at the Roadhouse and Black Cat Tavern. Now 11+ years later, John enjoys performing solo for the Cape Cod Dinner Train guests at both the Hyannis and Buzzards Bay Depots. He regularly practices his craft on Hyannis Main Street just outside Colombo’s Cafe throughout the Summer and Fall, keeping Lou’s legacy alive.

Martin Vazquez (MV) - Owner of MV Drums in Hyannis, and enthusiastic teacher of local drum students of all ages. A graduate of Berklee College of Music and the conceptual leader of the Trio. His experience with scripting marching band halftime shows keeps the other members sharp while anticipating both colorful melodic and rhythmic changes that create great song performances.

His solos on tunes like All Blues and Caravan are simply amazing to hear and experience.

Paul McWilliams - A1975 Graduate Berklee College of Music with wide professional experience, as well as a private teacher of piano. Paul specializes in vocal accompaniment. His professional appearances include New York City, London, Amsterdam, The Hague, Florida (Lakeland), U.S. Virgin Island, Oslo, Majesty Cruise Lines, Hyannis, Boston, and Cambridge.
