The Artist’s Way: Refresh, Renew & Rediscover Your Creative Self on ZOOM

This class is being offered as a collaboration between our Museum School and the Cape Cod Art Center. You will be sent a zoom link from the Cape Cod Art Center prior to the first class.

How do you refresh your vision? Where do you go to renew? What keeps you going in your creative endeavor?

This class addresses the need for play & curiosity to re-member yourself as the creative center – how you see, how you feel – what is uniquely you which goes into any creative endeavor.  While technology has introduced new techniques for creative expression, you are still the source – the creator of ideas, images, and form. This class is for anyone. You do not need to be “an artist”. Wherever you are is the starting point. We will explore ways to help you:

• See from a new perspective
• Re-View a project or idea
• Envision new possibilities
• You’ll leave with renewed awareness & steps for implementing your own creative plan.

Materials:

Purchase the Book before the first class and read the introduction: “The Artist Way” – by Julia Cameron

Facilitator Bio: Margot Cheel

Margot Cheel is an arts facilitator, photographer, and pilot. Her unexpected journey to becoming a pilot and a fine art aerial photographer began with a class in The Artist Way.

For over twenty years, she has now facilitated classes and workshops based on the creative process of the artist way.

“No matter where you are, that is the starting point.”  It’s a course for those beginning creative endeavors and those looking for new insights and perspectives.

Bringing her love of photography to her passion for flight, Margot has exhibited widely from New England to Florida to the Northwest. She has served local & international businesses and organizations with her aerial images and recently published two fine art photo books: Sea & Sand from the Sky and What Do You See? Finding Shapes from the Sky.
