Spring Break at CCMoA: Celebrating Nature Through Art with Jennifer Stratton (Ages 6-10)

April 18 – 22, 2022, 9:30 – 12:00.

Ages 6-10. Register early, class size is limited to 12 students!

Let’s bring in the spring! Creating art, using nature as the inspiration, is a wonderful way to encourage kids to be creative while developing art skills and observing nature. In this week-long class, we will create wonderful pieces of art through drawing, painting, collage, 3D art, clay, and more. Weather permitting, we will also spend time some time outdoors in the Cape Cod Museum of Art Yasuna Denny Sculpture Garden. This class is best suited for students ages six and older.

• Students must be checked in and out by an accompanying adult
• Students should bring a snack with them each day
• An emergency contact form is required – send to education@ccmoa.org prior to class or bring with you the first day
• Instructor is fully vaccinated

Jennifer Stratton is a visual artist, musician, and expressive/creative arts facilitator. She lives in Hyannis with her husband.

Jennifer’s experience with the healing powers of expressive art developed into a strong desire to help others tune in to their own creative gifts. In 2009 she received her Certificate of Graduate Studies Program for the Professional Application of Expressive Arts for Healing, also at Salve Regina University in Newport, R.I.

She works with organizations, groups, and individuals using expressive arts as a way for people to deepen their own self-discovery process, as a tool to deal with specific issues, and also to just have fun, learn about art and build community. 

Most recently she held the position of Art Director for the Boys and Girls Club of Cape Cod in Mashpee. She is also a certified CTI trained Life Coach.
