POTTERY with Jeanmarie O'Clair
Members: $300 / Non-Members $330
Fee includes (1) 25 lb bag of clay, glazing and glaze firing.
Learn the fundamentals of throwing on the potter’s wheel. We will focus on technique, form and function. All levels are welcome, from beginner to advanced.
All students must be vaccinated for COVID and wear masks. Please bring your vaccination card to the first class.
CCMoA must be notified 1 week prior for refund.
New students can purchase a tool kit for $15, available at class.
Please park in the back of the museum - take the 2nd driveway off of Hope Street. You will enter the building through the pottery studio in the back.
About the Instructor Jeanmarie O’Clair is the owner of Bass River Pottery and has been creating pottery for over 30 years. Her work can be seen publicly in locations such as Falmouth Hospital, Cape Cod Hospital, Flax Pond and cultural center of cape cod. Jeanmarie's pottery can be found in art museums and local art centers Jeanmarie is an experienced art teacher who has taught at schools on Cape Cod and in New York, as well as at many other studios. Besides giant ceramic mosaics her signature style, sgraffito pottery, is included in The Encyclopedia of Pottery Techniques, for ceramic artists.
