This is an in-person course

Level: Beginners and all levels welcome

Members - $85  / Non-Members -$95

4 Mondays, June 7 - 28 / 10:30 -12:30

In this class, the student will learn the basic herringbone  stitch, a versatile beading stitch that can be flat or tubular ( we’ll do both) . We will be using 8o seed beads (Miyuki brand preferred). A beginning kit is required for the first lesson and will be used for samples throughout the reminder of class. You will be expected to purchase additional beads to execute your own designs. You can expect to finish 2-3 or more  items during the four week course.

Beginners and advanced students are welcome. Each student will work at their own pace. Each week I will introduce a different variation of the basic herringbone , all with detailed worksheets, and show you suggestions for a few easy projects. Links for videos will be discussed and class discussion is definitely encouraged. You’ll be amazed at what you can produce.

Materials

Beginning kit - $15 - To be purchased at the first class.

Includes 2 size 10 beading needles, a 15 yd packet of Fireline, opaque Miyuki 11 gram tubes of beads in black, white and 4 colors, an 11x14” bead mat, and a triangle bead tray to pick up your beads.

In addition, you will need to bring the following household items:

Scissors to cut Fireline. Kid scissors are fine. Do not use good scissors since Fireline will ruin them.

A light is highly recommended. No need for an Ott light, an LED from a Dollar store or Job Lot will suffice.
