Eco Printing Workshop with Rebecca Zaremba of Northeast Dyeworks

Discover the art of botanical printing with Rebecca Zaremba of Northeast Dyeworks. This immersive, two-hour workshop introduces you to the magic of eco-printing, where fresh leaves and flowers are thoughtfully arranged on fabric, then rolled and steamed to transfer their brilliant colors directly onto textiles.

Together, we will cover the essential steps of mordanting, identify which local plants yield the most vibrant results, and share tips and techniques for achieving clean, defined prints. Every participant will leave with a silk scarf of their own unique creation, equipped with the knowledge to continue their natural dye practice independently.

Rebecca Zaremba is the maker behind Northeast Dyeworks. Inspired by a lifelong love of nature, her work centers on translating the beauty of plants and flowers into lasting color on textiles, creating pieces that reflect both place and season. When she isn’t working with botanicals, she can be found teaching and learning alongside tiny humans as an early childhood educator. She lives in East Sandwich with her husband and son, where she’s continually inspired by the natural world around her.
