Join local artists Dawna Hammers and Sue Beardsley for an inspiring program exploring the healing power of music and the quiet strength of caregiving.

The program will begin with a screening of Music is Medicine, a short film produced by Dawna Hammers with support from a grant from the Arts Foundation of Cape Cod. The film highlights how music can uplift, connect, and comfort individuals facing physical and cognitive challenges while fostering meaningful connections between caregivers and their loved ones.

Following the screening, artist and author Sue Beardsley will present a brief talk on her new book, Comfort, a daily reflection guide created to support caregivers of those living with dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. Complimentary copies of Comfort will be available while supplies last, and attendees are invited to stay for an author signing with Sue Beardsley and a community sing-along led by Dawna Hammers.

Thoughtful, uplifting, and engaging, this program offers insight, encouragement, and a sense of community for caregivers, families, and anyone interested in the role of creativity, music, and reflection in the healing process. Caregivers and their loved ones are warmly encouraged to attend.

This program is included with paid Museum admission.
