About

Telling stories as he puts brush to canvas, Sam will delight audience with tales of his experiences as a painter, including visiting France and painting Claude Monet’s famous Gardens of Giverny.

Barber is a quintessential Cape Cod artist who studied with Henry Hensche and has been painting on Cape Cod for over 50 years. His impressionist style has won awards nationally, and his work can be found in many museums and collections around the world.

Barber has generously offered a painting of his called, “Monet’s Garden at Giverny,” valued at $26,000 for a special Drawing at the Museum to support CCMoA’s Gardens and Sculpture Park. Only 260 chances will be sold at $100 each. Chances for the drawing can be purchased at the Museum and by contacting judyedmunds@gmail.com or calling 508/385-4477 x 21. The Drawing will be held the night of the CCMoA’s Olympics Party on February 10.
