Art Talk: From Woodcut to White-Line with Sue Altman

Printmaking spans many centuries, beginning with Chinese woodblock prints in the first century AD. This lecture explores the key techniques—including woodcut, etching, lithography, monoprinting, and silkscreen—through the works of masters like Dürer, Rembrandt, Cassatt, and Warhol.

Altman will also highlight Provincetown’s pioneering white-line technique.

Suzanne Altman is an art educator, Cape Cod Museum of Art docent, and art historian who has presented art and art history programs throughout New York, New Jersey, and Cape Cod for both adult and teenage audiences.
