About

Young artists are invited to travel the globe—without ever leaving Cape Cod! In this exciting four-day creative adventure, students will explore a different country each day and create artwork inspired by its unique culture, traditions, and landscapes.

Projects may include designing vibrant African sunset t-shirts, weaving jute rainforest bracelets, crafting South American–inspired pottery, and more. Through hands-on artmaking, students will expand their creativity while developing a deeper appreciation for global cultures.

As part of the experience, all students will tour the current exhibitions at the Cape Cod Museum of Art, connecting their own artwork to the broader world of contemporary art.

A fun, immersive class that blends creativity, culture, and discovery!

Jennifer Stratton is a visual artist, musician, and expressive/creative arts facilitator. She lives in Hyannis with her husband. Jennifer’s experience with the healing power of expressive art led to a strong desire to help others tune in to their own creative gifts. In 2009 she received her Certificate of Graduate Studies Program for the Professional Application of Expressive Arts for Healing, also at Salve Regina University in Newport, R.I. She works with organizations, groups, and individuals using expressive arts as a way for people to deepen their own self-discovery process, as a tool to deal with specific issues, and also to just have fun, learn about art and build community. Most recently, she held the position of Art Director for the Boys and Girls Club of Cape Cod in Mashpee. She is also a certified CTI-trained Life Coach.

The Cape Cod Museum of Art is committed to making Art accessible to everyone in the Cape Cod Community. The Museum School Scholarship Fund provides tuition assistance to qualified, year-round Cape Cod residents ages 6 and up. Click here to apply.
