Printmaking is an artistic process based on the principle of transferring images from a matrix onto another surface, most often paper or fabric. Traditional printmaking techniques include woodcut, etching, engraving, drypoint and lithography, while modern artists have expanded available techniques to include screen-printing, monoprinting, collagraph , and digital printing.
This talk will provide you with an understanding of various print making techniques. Leslie will show you works from her collection and explain the process. You will learn how to identify original prints – you will gain insights to become a knowledgeable art collector.
