In this talk I will present a brief overview of the work of the interior designer, and then focus on case studies that exemplify the use of art and fine craft as an integral part of the design meant to create a home that is beautiful and meaningful to the people who live there.

"The elements found in all art forms - - color, line, shape, form, texture, space, light and pattern - - are also found in interior design. The composition of a room can be approached much like the composition of a painting and the media used includes furniture, fabric, lighting, and rugs. But like all other art forms the ultimate goal is to create something that transcends the materials, and speaks to the owner at a soul level. This is what I believe, and what is integral to my practice."
