Love can have many characteristics, different facets, shapes, and colors. The songs chosen for this concert will attempt to portray love and its diversity.
Dennis Flaherty - A lifetime lover of Cape Cod summers, Dennis retired from his teaching career (Elementary Physical Education, Town of Medway) in 2011, and since 2013, is a year round Cape Cod resident. For the past five years, Dennis has been, and continues to be the lead singer with the Cape Conservatory Jazz Band, an eighteen piece big band led by Tyler Newcomb. Dennis specializes in songs made popular by such artists as Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Nat King Cole, Bobby Darin, and more. Dennis can also be heard on occasion singing with the Bart Weisman Jazz Band, and Stage Door Canteen.
Edward "Eddie" Scheer - MIT graduate (two degrees - Engineering and Music), retired from his day job at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute, Eddie continues, as he has for many years, to play piano in local establishments in the Falmouth and Bourne area: The Chart Room, Bucatino, The Quarterdeck, and Jack's, and years ago, The Nimrod. One of Eddie's specialties is to blend different songs into clever medleys.
Ron Ormsby -- Ron is a jazz bassist originally from Boston, where he studied at Berklee College of Music. In addition to performing at many of the local Boston jazz clubs, he was a founding member of the Boston Jazz Quartet.
