Songs from the Heart comes to Music & More at the Cape Cod Museum of Art - Performed live, but for your safety, viewable online only.
On Sunday, February 21, 2021 at 4:30 pm, the Cape Cod Museum of Art will host “Songs from the Heart,” a concert designed to portray love and its diversity performed by Dennis Flaherty on vocals, and Paul McWilliams on piano. All songs will have the word "Heart" in the lyrics. Love can have many characteristics, different facets, shapes, and colors. Enjoy standards from the Great American Songbook. This concert is sure to please all!

The Cape Cod Museum of Art’s popular “Music & More!” Concert Series, has been bringing joyful music to Cape Codders for 18 years. This year Music & More runs monthly beginning in January on Sundays, at 4:30pm, and starting in June, we will be having weekly Sunday afternoon concerts beginning at 4:30 pm at the CCMoA, 60 Hope Lane, Dennis Village and virtually on YouTube Live. Enjoy intimate concerts with musicians from a vast variety of disciplines, including swing, blue grass, Dixieland jazz, Celtic music, jazz standards and classical music. About the Performers:
Vocalist Dennis Flaherty - A lifetime lover of Cape Cod summers, Dennis retired from his teaching career (Elementary Physical Education, Town of Medway) in 2011, and since 2013, is a year round Cape Cod resident. For the past five years, Dennis has been, and continues to be the lead singer with the Cape Conservatory Jazz Band, an eighteen piece big band led by Tyler Newcomb. Dennis specializes in songs made popular by such artists as Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Nat King Cole, Bobby Darin, and more. Dennis can also be heard on occasion singing with the Bart Weisman Jazz Band, and Stage Door Canteen.
Pianist Paul McWilliams has enjoyed an extensive professional career for 45 years playing with musicians and vocalists and specializing in vocal accompaniment. He has accompanied artists such as Rebecca Parris, Mark Murphy, Linda Hopkins, Louise Alexandra and Lori Colombo. Mr. McWilliams is a 1975 graduate of the Berklee College of Music, and has devoted himself to private teaching for 27 years.
