Children will create their own miniature home for indoor fairies or gnomes using lots of natural and “magical” materials. They will plan, design, and build a unique structure in this fun class that puts the A for art in this highly engaging STEM project. Children will construct walls with dowels, grapevine, or reeds, then finish them by weaving and attaching fibers, raffia, and silk flowers. Children will have fun as they stretch their imaginations while using an amazing variety of materials to make decorations, furniture, gardens or other comforts and accessories. On the final day, everyone will make miniature woodland figures to enjoy and play in their new home. Students will learn to use hot glue safely with permission.
