About

Our fragile oceans are plagued with plastics and other manmade trash. Directed by filmmaker Johnny Bergmann, "Rescuing Our Oceans Through Recycled Art" explores how local artists, scientists and members of the community have come together to create art from the detritus and bring awareness to what we as individuals can do to help solve the problem.

Join Johnny Bergmann, film director, and Sarah Thornington, artist for a Q&A panel after the film.

Made possible by a grant from Mass Cultural Council. Thanks also to our local Cultural Councils in Orleans, Provincetown, and Wellfleet.

ARTSLIGHT shares the many faces and facets of creative activity and innovation on the Cape, using video, audio, and digital reporting and storytelling to connect community members, demystify the creative process, introduce artists and arts organizations, generate curiosity and passion about the sector, and build a shared awareness of the role the creative economy plays in our region.
