Collecting and performing this material for over four decades, Tom Goux has appeared before concert, festival, seminar and workshop audiences throughout the region and across the country. A partial listing of his performance credits would

include maritime museums and historical societies in Boston, Salem, New Bedford, Portland, ME, Mystic Seaport, the American Museum of Natural History in New York and the Smithsonian Institution, Washington, D.C.

He is the founding director of the New Bedford Harbor Sea Chantey Chorus and also leads Notescape, a five-voice a cappella group singing a repertoire of classic jazz tunes and pop favorites. His music can be heard on the Smithsonian Folkways and Whaling City Sound labels.
