Ana Glig

Recognized for her ability to "capture hearts" by Musical America, Ana Glig (a.k.a. Gligvashvili) is an award-winning Georgian-American concert pianist. Glig has performed widely in the United States and Europe in solo, chamber and orchestral settings. Glig’s playing is recognized for it’s “sensitivity” (by Fanfare Magazine) and virtuosic display.

As a self-taught artist, Glig is a founder of MusArt Interconnections; innovative multi-media concerts, synthesizing live performance of classical music with visual art.

As a native of Georgia, Glig’s early musical impressions are related to Georgian polyphonic singing, which influenced her path in classical music. Glig holds Master’s degree in piano performance from Mannes School of Music, The New School and Advanced Certificate in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from The York University (NYU Steinhardt). Glig completed her undergraduate studies and received her Bachelor’s degree from Tbilisi State Conservatory, Republic of Georgia. Her teachers include such renown pianist/pedagogues as Victor Rosenbaum, Eteri Andjaparidze, Revaz Tavadze and Marine Gelashvili among others. Glig served as a member of the adjunct piano faculty at NYU Steinhardt.

Currently, Glig is an artist faculty member at Cape Symphony (aka Cape Conservatory) and also teaches piano privately. Visit her website for more information, booking and contact details.

Susan Overstreet

Susan Overstreet's creative process of weaving vibrant colors with a technique of palette knife and brushwork captures a vusual tapestry between abstract imagery and representation. Overstreet's bold expressive style is driven by unique natural elements found on Cape Cod that offer an evolving kaleidoscope of color. “I work quickly. Capturing the subject extemporaneously is vital to breathing life into it visually,” explains Overstreet. “Knowing what the paint can do by experimenting with its properties, I move the paint around the canvas until the image emerges.” She paints en plein air and in the studio, inspired by both landscape and the human figure. Susan completed studio work at George Washington University, and continued studying fine arts at the Corcoran School of Art and the Art League School of Alexandria. Her work was accepted in many juried competitions in Virginia and now on Cape Cod. Susan has exhibited at The Provincetown Art Museum, the Cultural Center of Cape Cod, and the Cape Cod Museum of Art. She taught art to children in Fairfax Public Schools, and served as president of the Springfield Art Guild. Susan now teaches at the Cape Cod Museum of Art, Milford Arts Council, the Cultural Center of Cape Cod and at the PAAM. She is represented by Tree’s Place Gallery in Orleans. website: Susanoverstreet.com
