About the Theme:

LIGHT IN A DARK SEASON

As we approach the darkest time of the year, promise of a brighter future helps to get us through. This theme, however, can also be understood less literally.

As the writer, poet and visual artist, Kahlil Gibran wrote:

If you can see only what light reveals and hear only what sound announces, then in truth you do not see nor do you hear.

Within the parameters of this theme, we hope artists interpret light, dark and season in their own way, tailoring the theme to fit their individual beliefs, viewpoints and artistic objectives.

This is a Juried show.

Your submissions will only be reviewed if you are a current members of the Museum.

New membership is encouraged.

NOTE: Artwork in this exhibition will be juried by Patricia Feinstein at the Museum. The list of artists, who are juried into the exhibition will be posted on this page by the end of the day on November 20th

Shipping container must be reusable with an enclosed PREPAID RETURN SHIPPING LABEL

Shipped Artwork Must be Received no Later than November 17, 2018.

NO FedEX and NO Foam Peanuts!

Artwork that is NOT accepted MUST be picked up on November 23 & 24; 10:00am – 5pm…we are unable to store the art. If you need other arrangements contact Michael at exhibit@ccmoa.org

THEME: “LIGHT IN A DARK SEASON”

REQUIREMENTS:

2d and 3d work in all media and photography. No Videos.

2d work MUST be framed and ready to hang with proper wiring.

NO Clips or Saw Tooth hangers.

If you are shipping 2d artwork PLEXI-GLASS is required; NO GLASS.

If these requests are not met, your entry will not be considered.

SIZE REQUIREMENTS:

2d work – Maximum size: 40” x 40”. Including the frame.

No diptychs or triptychs if they exceed these dimensions.

3d work – free standing pieces: Maximum size: 72” height x 36”width x 36”depth

Pedestal pieces: Maximum base: 18” x 18”
