About

Break free from rigid academic rules and discover the raw, emotional power of the human form! This intensive two-day workshop is designed for painters looking to inject energy, mood, and movement into their figure work. Working directly from a live nude model, you will learn to abandon stiff outlines in favor of bold gestures, dynamic color palettes, and rich, layered textures.

Through rapid charcoal sketches, vibrant abstract underpaintings, and heavy palette-knife application, you will discover how to prioritize the feeling of a pose over strict anatomical accuracy. Whether you paint in fast-drying acrylics or rich oils, this masterclass will help you loosen your brushwork, trust your creative intuition, and develop a deeply personal visual voice.

This two-day workshop focuses on capturing the human form through a gestural, emotive, and intuitive approach. By prioritizing energy, color, and mood over rigid academic realism, students will learn to break down the anatomy into simplified shapes and leverage bold, expressive mark-making.

Perfect for all levels seeking to expand their studio practice.
