Express Yourself with 3-D Art with Jennifer Stratton

Ages 6 -12, 9:30 - 12 pm.

3-D art is an exciting and dynamic way to express parts of yourself that don’t always get a chance to shine. Sometimes kids get panicky when given a blank piece of paper and told to draw or paint, but give them something they can build or mold, and their hands just seem to take over! Working with 3-D art can help with confidence, focus, and provide fun, all at the same time. In this 4 day session we will explore 3-D media and methods, which may include, working with papier-mâché, creating sculptures out of wire and stockings and a pour-paint method over tall structures and clay building. Jennifer Stratton, creative and expressive art educator, will provide the guidance and direction as to how to use the materials and then it’s up to you to create, create, create!

Visual Artist: Jennifer Stratton is also a musician, certified life coach, and expressive and creative arts educator. She earned her expressive arts facilitation training at the Expressive Arts Institute at Salve Regina University. For the past thirteen years she has been teaching and hosting art groups for people from age 2 to 92 at venues such as the Dennis Council on Aging, Brewster Recreation, Fair Acres Camp, CORD, Cape Cod Can and the Cape Cod Museum of Art! Jennifer is the art director at the Boys & Girls Club of Cape Cod and lives with her husband in Hyannis.
