"You Only Get One Body is a bold and gestural celebration of Provincetown artist Laura Shabott’s relationship to making large-scale figurative expressive works. Laura creates ever-evolving paintings, works on paper, and collages sparked by nature with a deep resonance for the creative life force.
Laura's first solo exhibition at the Cape Cod Museum of Art stands out with its innovative use of materials, and facility with monumentality. Sculptures designed for the space hang from the cathedral ceiling and burst from the paintings themselves.”
-Benton Jones Director of Art
