About

The Museum School at the Cape Cod Museum of Art presents:

Thinking Minds in Motion: Connecting with Our Inner Artist with Nina Greenwald, Ph.D. and David Martin, Ph.D.

(4) Thursdays, January 26 – February 16, 2023, 1-3 pm

Member $140 / Non-Member $155

In a climate of relaxation and enjoyment and in a “safe haven” for generating and sharing ideas, this highly engaging four-session series invites participants to think critically and creatively through activities and discussion to discover, envision, play with, create, or experiment with their own artful ideas through their preferred means of expression. The medium could be drawing, painting, collage, decorative arts, sculpture, photography, dance, music, or writing –the sky’s the limit of possibilities!

Class Focus by Week:

  • Sources of Inspiration for Creative Productivity
  • Dismantling Blocks and Barriers to Creativity
  • Minds in Motion on the Move
  •  Dabbling with our Inner Artists: Works in Progress

As a special feature of this series, participants will engage in interactive exchanges with practicing artists from different fields of the arts; they will also enjoy lively group-think activities and use the museum’s exhibits to hone creative and critical thinking processes, and will be invited to voluntarily share the results of their own “artful expressions”-- either individually or in collaboration with another person. No prerequisite experience or work in the arts is needed for participation in this series: just curiosity and interest in developing some of the processes of thinking. From the outset, the focus will be on freedom to dream and create.
