Mosaic Art – Enjoy creating surface decoration by inlaying small pieces of various colored pieces to form pattern or picture.

This class will guide beginners through the process of making a unique personalized mosaic garden pot.

You will decorate your pot with your personal treasurers or you can use the materials provided.

Day 1 – Gather your broken tiles, create your design pattern, and apply the tiles to the garden pot – we will allow the work to dry for 24 hours

Day 2 – Finish you mosaic piece by spreading the grout and sponge finishing. You will be able to take home your finished piece

Materials: Bring your repurposed treasure – plates, jewelry, beads, any element that you would like to work into your design.  We will break the plates and glassware in the class. Clay pot and other materials will be provided

Instructor: Michele Francoeur

“I have been creating since I was a child. Ever since I was little I have always loved and had an appreciation for beauty. Whenever I saw the world's beauty my heart would soar...

I followed the path of creativity. I went to Parsons School of Design in NYC and become a graphic designer. It was when I had children that I came back to the path of painting. One day I took some bright pastels, and filled the paper with vibrant shapes and colors! My first abstract painting! I started painting again and even went back to graduate school to get my Masters in Painting.

Art is an incredible process: it connects, communicates and is a form of expression. It is a universal language; an apple is the same picture around the world. It resonates with our souls, lifts us up and inspires us.”
