July 14, 6-8 PM. Teen artists will enjoy this monthly fun and informative Paint Night session with Instructor Michael Giaquinto meant to hone their skills in developing a still life composition. Each student will take away new ideas about the creative process and visual expression.

Teen Paint Night: Understanding the Composition of a Good Still Life with Micheal Giaquinto

Thursday, July 14, 2022, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM.

Members $35 / Non-Members $40

This monthly workshop for teen artists will review the building of a still life composition from simple to complex using different objects, shapes, and color values with Instructor Michael Giaquinto. The class is open equally to experienced young artists and to those who have never held a brush before. Acrylic paint, canvases, brushes, palette knives, and easels will be provided. Michael will provide a different still life composition each month, students must register for each session individually.

Michael A. Giaquinto, the former Exhibitions Curator at the Cape Cod Museum of Art, studied art at Montserrat College of Art, Beverly, MA; North Carolina State University, where he studied Art History. He also taught art at St. John Paul II High School in Hyannis, MA, and teaches painting for adults at the Weny Education Center at CCMoA, and the Creative Arts Center, Chatham, MA.

He has held workshops at the DeCordova Museum and Sculpture Park, Lincoln, MA & The Truro Center for the Arts, & Falmouth Art Center.

Giaquinto was awarded "Craftsman of the Year" by the Early American Life Magazine in 2001 and 2005. He is represented in Deborah Forman's book, Contemporary Cape Cod Artists on Abstraction, 2015.
