LORI COLUMBO
JAZZ VOCALS
Since returning from California to her home on Cape Cod in 2006, Lori has performed live at local restaurants and events, and throughout New England, for 20+ years. She has opened for the prestigious Pops by the Sea, featuring the Boston Pops, in both 2006 and 2012...and as well at the critically-acclaimed Summer Jazz Series at Chatham’s Wequassett Resort as well as Provincetown. Daughter of renowned jazz trumpeter, Lou Colombo, Lori, in his legacy continues to perform at the esteemed long-standing Roadhouse Cafe in Hyannis, and the West End, among others!
While residing in California prior to 2006, Lori had the extreme pleasure of performing with Billie Holiday’s West Coast band and, as well, opened for Windham Hill artist, George Winston. Fluent in Italian and while living in Italy, she recorded with producer, Franco Migliacci, best known for his hit, “Volare”. She performed as well regionally with various Italian ensembles.
Steeped musically in the tradition of the Jazz classics, Lori’s first love is the Great American Songbook and American Standards.
An aficionado of all languages, she incorporates in her repertoire songs in Italian, Spanish, French and Brazilian-Portuguese.
RICH HILL
BASSIST
Cape resident, Rich Hill, is a versatile musician who doubles both electric and upright bass. His performing career began at age twelve playing dances and clubs, and by seventeen touring the international Playboy Club Circuit. He attended the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, the Berklee College of Music, and then began touring with the Platters, various other bands, and more recently with artists, Shawn Monteiro, Joan Rivers, Suede, Gregg Sullivan, Lori Columbo, George Gritzbach (opening act for BB King and Creedence Clearwater Revival). He also recently received a Certificate in Jazz Performance from the New England Conservatory.
Rich, as well, has many recording credits; Molly Parmenter, Bobby Santos, Daniel Byrnes Band, George Gritzbach Band to name a few. He, together with local pianist, Fred Boyle, perform regularly in “Jazz in Schools”, a program administered by the Cape Symphony, led by Bart Weisman.
Rich teaches bass, theory, and has a home recording facility in Bourne, MA.
PAUL MCWILLIAMS
PIANIST
Paul has enjoyed an extensive professional career for 45 years playing with musicians and vocalists too numerous to mention....not the least of whom was the internationally acclaimed and beloved chanteuse, Rebecca Parris. Paul has followed his heart which has been specializing in vocal accompaniment, and has accompanied artists such as: Rebecca Parris, Mark Murphy, Linda Hopkins, Louise Alexandra and Lori Colombo.
Paul is a 1975 graduate of Berklee College of Music, and has devoted himself to private teaching for 27 years. He has toured in various locations worldwide such as Oslo, Norway, Amsterdam, The Hague and London.
