Friday Jewelry Workshop with Dawn Rosell: Tree of Life Pendant

No experience is needed but good hand flexibility and strength are helpful.

Adults and Students Ages 14+ (minors must be accompanied by an adult).

This 2-hour class will teach you how to make a tree of life pendant with gemstone chips or with one large shell background. You will learn basic wire jewelry techniques to make the frame and bail as well as how to secure the gems onto the frame. Each student will be given tools to use during class and a selection of beads to choose from to make it more personalized. All wire will be copper as it is the easiest material to learn wire jewelry making.

Each student will go home with a self made pendant as well as a packet on how to make this bracelet and a list of materials needed. No experience is needed, just a good attitude and a desire to have fun. Students will find this class best suited to them if they have good flexibility and hand strength in both hands as we use both hands in wire jewelry making. Also, if you have beautifully manicured nails, please note that it will be much easier if they are not too long as holding the tools can be a challenge if the nails dig into your hand.

Please arrive 10-15 minutes before class to get settled and choose beads. The class will start at the scheduled time.

Instructor Bio:

Dawn Rosell of Dawn Rosell Designs- I am a jewelry designer and teacher. I am a self taught wire wrap artist and business owner. I was born and raised on Cape Cod, and I went to Mount Ida school of design for Fashion. I have been designing and creating jewelry for 17 years and teaching for over 6. I have previously participated in both the Falmouth and Orleans adult education programs as well as teaching at the Cosmic Cod (formerly the CapeCod Art Bar) and the Hyannis Senior center. I teach private lessons as well as public classes and I truly enjoy sharing my knowledge and love of making pretty jewelry.
